Srinagar: Scores of leaders and activists of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Friday staged protests at different places in Srinagar against “human rights violations” by government forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
Hurriyat (G) leaders staged a protest post-Friday prayers in Hyderpora area of Srinagar. Senior members of the amalgam and other representatives participated in the protest, said a spokesperson.
Addressing the gathering, the leaders said that the “Indian policy of suppression and repression in Jammu and Kashmir has failed to yield any positive results for India.”
Scores of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leaders and activists staged separate protests at Sarai Bala and Maisuma against “ongoing Indian aggression in Kashmir.”
