Reasi : People’s Democratic Party organized several public meetings in different areas of the Kangan Constituency in Ganderbal district on Monday. PDP Youth President and candidate for the Srinagar-Pulwama parliamentary constituency, Waheed ur Rehman Parra, addressed the public meetings. The meeting was organized by the party’s state Secretary, Bashir Ahmad Mir, where party functionaries were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Parra said, “Kangan stands as the symbolic core of Kashmir, epitomizing the resolute spirit of its populace in countering nefarious agendas, a demonstration of astute political acumen.”
Parra continued, “Whatever disempowerment and onslaught we are witnessing from the past 5-6 years in Kashmir, Kangan becomes the first and foremost victim. Kangan has witnessed disenfranchisement and disempowerment. People are very much upset with the way the government treated and behaved with the people of Kangan. People think we have been targeted and sidelined selectively, he asserted.
“People of Kangan are feeling suffocation inside, and we are trying to reach out to every single village and door to listen to their issues and concerns. I assure you that I will take these issues to the Parliament of India if elected, he emphasized.
State Secretary Bashir Mir also spoke on the occasion, saying, “We will stand with PDP President Mehbooba Mufti’s stance for Kashmir.”
