Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that along with other law enforcement authorities it conducted a rigorous Naka checking operation near Pinglena which led significant actions against violations related to transportation of materials, adding there in that a total of 14 vehicles found carrying excess materialwere handed over to the Geology and Mining Department for imposition of fines.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that additionally, three vehicles discovered to be operating without proper challans were seized during the operation, adding therein that the said vehicles were also transferred to the Geology and Mining Department for further legal proceedings. Police in its statement further said that as a result of the enforcement actions taken, a total fine amounting to Rs. 42,500 was imposed on the violators, adding therein that three vehicles operating without proper challans were seized for transporting materials.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that this operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to uphold regulations and maintain order in transportation activities.
