Srinagar: Chairman PDF Hakeem Yaseen has expressed his concern over slow pace of development in famous tourest resorts of Doodhpathri and Tossamaidan in Budgam district. He has urged the Governor administration to provide adequate funds for developing tourist infrastructure in the twin tourist places.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Hakeem Yaseen has asked the government to develop Sukhnag park at Tangnar as an amusement park for children. He has also demanded construction of a foot bridge over Sukhnag near TRC at Tangnar to Trajkhal so that tourists could enjoy natural beauty of the area on the other side of the serene Sukhnag river.He has also urged the need for development of the Tossamaidan – Doodhpathri tourist circuit without further delay adding that the proposed tourist circuit would give a big boost to tourism activities in the area.
Hakeem Yaseen has asked the concerned authorities to take immediate measures to protect vergin beauty of various meadows in Doodhpathri adding that vehicles should not be allowed to enter meadows for parking. He said that all the meadows at Doodhpathri need to be fenced properly as parking of vehicle cause enormous damage to the natural beauty of these meadows.He has also demanded development of a modern tourist village on 600 kanals of custodian land in the vicinity of Doodhpathri.
Hakeem Yaseen has also urged for making the tourist cafeteria at Doodhpathri functional at the earliest for the convenience of the visitors. He has stressed the need for stringent measures to check any sort of encroachment in and around the tourist resorts of Doodhpathri and Tossamaidan.
