DC Poonch directs for efficient, prompt, hassle free revenue services to public

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet, Monday directed revenue officials and field staff to ensure efficient prompt and hassle free revenue services to the general public.
He was reviewing the functioning of the Revenue Department here at a meeting held in the meeting hall of Dak Bunglow Surankote.
The meeting held threadbare deliberations on various Revenue related matters including eviction of encroachments on Kahcharai and State Land, recording of Jamabandies, recovery fee, progress under SVAMITVA, digitization of records, redressal of grievances, evacuee property details and various other revenue related issues.
At the outset, the chair was given a detailed account of the different Revenue related matters of the district.
While reviewing the progress of writing Jamabandies, the DC asked the Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars to complete exercise well within stipulated time period and warned of strict action against the non performers.
Discussing the status of the public grievances, he issued instructions for time bound disposal of complaints. He also directed all the tehsildars to submit the details of mutation attested From Jan 2021 to Dec 2021.
The DC also directed all the Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildar to submit a weekly progress report of identification of revenue records which are missing, non traceable, damaged or otherwise to the administrative department for further appraisal to the office of chief secretary.
The DC also reviewed the revenue court cases right from the court of the Deputy Commissioner and Tehsildars.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to remove commercial encroachment and submit the compliance report within a week and ensure that no re-encroachment occurs by doing geo-tagging and bio- fencing.
The Deputy Commissioner directed Naib Tehsildar Khanater/ Haveli to remove the encroachments near Poonch city within one week except residential houses and prioritize prime land. He directed for retrieval of the prime land within one week and issuance of advance 15-day notice to the residents who are in possession of any state land.
The Deputy commissioner directed all the Tehsildars to organise camps on AAP KI ZAMEEN AAP KI NIGRANI and aware the general public of their respective areas and compile daily progress reports.
For e-office implementation, the Deputy Commissioner asked the ADC and DIO NIC to submit the details regarding availability of computers. He further asked the SDMs and tehsildars to submit the report regarding availability/requirement of computer and rationalization thereof, so that physical file could be shifted into online system.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Basharat Hussain; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi; SDM Surankote, Naheem-un Nissa Bhatti; SDM Mendhar, Dr.Sahil Jandyal; Tehsildar Surankote, Sheraz Ahmed; Tehsildar Mandi, Shazad Latief Khan and Naib Tehsildars besides all district and Sectoral officers.
