Bandipora : The District Administration Bandipora on Friday organised a special training programme for poll staff to be deployed for Postal Ballot/ Home Voting and postal voting counters in three assembly Segment of Bandipora viz. 14-Sonawari, 15-Bandipora and 16-Gurez.
Poll staff of Bandipora and Sonawari assembly segments attended the training programme at conference Hall Mini Secretariat Bandipora and employees of Assembly Segment 16-Gurez attended the training programme in virtual mode.
The training programme presided over by Nodal Officer Postal Ballot Mehraj Wani (Sales Tax Officer) was attended by Presiding Officers, P1, Micro Observers, Flying Squad, Videographers and special messengers engaged for postal ballot /Home Voting and Postal voting Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Nodal Officer Postal Ballot Mehraj Wani deliberated on various aspects of Home Voting and Postal Voting Counters.
He highlighted the procedure of Home Voting, eligibility criteria, material required and other aspects of Home Voting and Postal Voting counters.
Mehraj Wani on the occasion also deliberated on the role and duties of POs, P1, Micro observers and other staff deployed for Home Voting besides highlighted guidelines of Election Commission of India regarding postal voting and postal voting counters.
On the occasion, DLMT, Mohammad Iqbal Samoon also threw light on voting procedures and roles and responsibilities of poll staff.
