This law outlines the procedures for compensation and lays down the guidelines for determining the amount of compensation to be awarded.
Both laws are a significant step forward in ensuring that victims of crime are provided with the support they need to rebuild their lives. They recognize the physical, emotional, and financial impact that a crime can have on a person and their family, and provide a measure of justice and support.
The implementation of these laws will undoubtedly offer a sense of relief to victims of crime and their families, helping them to move forward after a traumatic experience.
The programme was attended by Panel Lawyer, Principal, staff members & students of Government Boys High School, Sherpathri, Ganderbal and PLVs of District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal.
