Srinagar: CAPD Employees Association Kashmir on Tuesday appealed Advisor Mr. Farooq Ahmad Khan, Commissioner Secretary Mr. Zubair Ahmad Khan, Director Dr. Abdul Salam Mir to reconsider suspension of dealer authenticity on POS devices.
In a statement issued here from the central Office of CAPD Employees Association Kashmir, the President. Aijaz Ahmad Khan said, now that there is resurgence in the Covid-19 Infection and Kashmir is at the brink of another lockdown, the FCS & CA department has to ensure the sales on POS devices and employees risk their lives for sustenance and the betterment of the Department in ensuring the 100 percent transparency, and reach out to the bonafide Rationees. Stating the employees now feel suffocated with the newly imposed sanctions or ban on dealer authenticity, Khan said “this implies every field worker, be it a storekeeper of the Department or the Fair Price Shop dealer to face the Consumer in person and take thumb impression, which is risky in the epoch of Corona”. Aijaz Khan further said that the infection is communicable by mere interactions, think we are supposed to take thumb impressions despite this deadly second wave of Covid-19 Pandemic.
He also said another factor which is an evident loophole to the suspension of Dealer authenticity of POS devices is that the fingerprints of old aged or labour professionals donot match with the biometric POS devices and they were issued Rations through this option of dealer authenticity which has been unnecessarily been banned or suspended.
The President Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan has shown anguish over the suspension stating that if Dealer authenticity was suspended to bring 100 percent transparency, we refer it as objectionable because we provide Ration on the aadhar and very few of the transactions are carried out on dealer authenticity mode. These meager transactions are being keenly monitored by the District Officers and the Supply officers of our Department. So suspending dealer authenticity is a move to harass the field Officials.
We appeal the Government of India and Government of Jammu and Kashmir and in particular our Honble Advisor Mr. Farooq Ahmad Khan, Mr. Zubair Ahmad and Dr. Mir Abdul Salam to reconsider this decision in the wake of rise in Covid-19 cases and evident facts, which depict as a loophole in banning the dealer authenticity. By this way, you will prove your means through a better administration and standing by the side of your Covid warriors.
