Srinagar: The field executives of Legal Metrology department conducted extensive market inspections in the various districts of Kashmir division and booked 198 erring traders for violating Legal Metrology Laws and imposed a fine of Rs 3,14,700/-.
The defaulters include vegetable-sellers, mutton-dealers, Kiryana-sellers, milk-sellers etc. In addition to this, 08 cooking gas distributors were booked for indulging in over-charging on re-fill cylinders.
