Anantnag : The Ministry of Railways has sanctioned an experimental stoppage for the Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express at the Anantnag railway station. In an official communication, the Railway Board directed the operationalization of this stop from an early convenient date, subject to mandatory security clearances.
The Board has instructed local railway authorities to closely track ticket sales and passenger volume at Anantnag to evaluate the viability of the stoppage. Railway officials indicated that the service halt is anticipated to become operational by the end of September, providing enhanced transport connectivity for local residents, traders, and tourists.
