Jammu: Dr. Mahendra Kumar Singh, Minister of State, Rural Development, Medical and Health, Uttar Pradesh, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here Tuesday.
Dr. Singh and Governor had wide-ranging discussions on the initiatives required for development of rural areas and strengthening of health care services particularly in the remote areas of the country.
During the discussion, Governor highlighted the crucial importance of strengthening institutions of Panchayati Raj for ensuring development at the grass root level.
