India again on denial mode

India has once again chosen the path of denial by rejecting the talks with Pakistan at the global level prime minister of Pakistan has said that he is free to discuss every irritant between India on a negotiation table and India should have welcomed the offer and proceeded to resolve all the pending issues with Pakistan.  This should have been an opportunity India had to grab to end all the differences, if they want to live in an atmosphere of love, freedom and understanding with the neighbouring country. India has always expressed that Pakistan is the safe heaven for terrorists. But, when Imran khan, the prime minister of Pakistan has openly stated that they are ready to discuss an issue including terrorisms as well the Indian side should have reciprocated positively.

Proceeding cannot get any better opportunities will come their way. This is best time to resolve all the issues and disputed between the two countries including Kashmir dispute. In the context of South Asia both these countries have great names of fame .But India is not in such a position to have peaceful atmosphere for obvious reasons .I have never seen this positive approach of any Pakistan’s Prime Minister ever before . This relationship based on hostility, hatred and ill will is not going to lead these countries anywhere, they have hurt the progressive prospects of these countries. India had to accept Pakistan’s invitation for engaging in a sustainable dialogue to have some breakthrough from their strained relationship. On this earth certain issues can only be solved through peace full means and sustainable dialogue.

Well, one can clearly see Indo-Pak relationship fallowing the same beaten track. One of the premier examples of this is dastard killing of Indian soldier. These types of agonizing news will always hunt us, until and unless both the countries take concrete peace building measures. History speaks that, they have fought wars in the past. What these wars have resulted into? Nothing is the gain but killing of innocent people and destruction of vital resources. Soldiers from both the sides are made the fodder to keep the flame of hostilities high. India must shun this hubristic approach to live peacefully. Let’s not blame Pak this time around. What option they have then to oblige. They invited and the appreciation goes to them. India cancelled on frivolous grounds just because the ruling party wants to keep their core constituency happy who benefits from Indo -Pak rivalry. It is time to start the dialogue process.

There was one more reason to have grabbed this moment an initiate peace process. If the general belief among the masses on this side of the border is believed to be a fact that Imran khan is popped up by Army, that means you would have been talking to a person who has the mandate of Pak Army. We have seen in the past that dialogues have failed because of unwillingness of certain sections of people on both sides of the border in which Pakistan Army was first to be blamed. This moment provided the much needed backing to the peace process and it was apt to start now for Imran khan was passionate about it and there had been no big irritants with new Prime Minister so far. Unless, BJP doesn’t invoke politics in restructuring their ties with neighbours- that helps save lives of our people- foreign policy shall always be the first causality. Hope good sense prevails and there is no further dent in the relationship, and both sides use their good offices to resurrect this dialogue once again.

Nobody would like to see a war like situation to happen between the two Asian heavyweights. We, the common masses of Kashmir want both these countries to resolve all their pending disputes, core issue like Kashmir via peaceful ways, initiatives. Kashmiri people are initially lovers of peace, and we want them to live in a peaceful atmosphere. Every day you would see heart rending pictures of orphaned children, wives of security forces, mothers of Kashmiri people. This strained relationship should not be there forever, there must be some breakthrough. They have fought wars in the past too, what were the outcomes? In the war of 1965, both the countries signed what we politically term it “Tashkent Deceleration”. Similar post 1971 “Agra Summit” took place between them. At the conclusion of this, I would like to state that “Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind”.
