Jammu: At least three passengers died and eight others were injured after a taxi plunged into a deep gorge in Surankote area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
Reports said that a passenger cab (registration number JK02AC-0074) skidded off the road and rolled down into 250 ft deep gorge near Gursai Mohre, resulting into injuries to eleven persons. The injured were taken to SDH Surankote where one of them was declared dead on arrival. Two others referred to Rajouri hospital for specialised treatment died on the way. Further details are awaited.
