Leh: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore has said that “Sankalp se Siddhi” is every Indians’ fundamental duty, and exhorts upon the people to make India stronger.
Talking to media persons soon after his arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Monday on a two-day visit to the district he said that the purpose of his visit is to encourage the people especially the women team which came all along from Surat.
“We have to make India stronger and every Indian must put in effort towards the New India-Manthan campaign and make it a mass movement. Our Constitution talks about the Fundamental Rights and at the same time it reminds us our Fundamental Duties towards the Nation. Sankalp se Siddhi is part of those Fundamental Duties that bring the nation together. He said that the priority of this government is to ensure development of far flung areas with the focus on communication and inclusivity. ‘I have come to Leh to celebrate Independence Day in the most beautiful region of the country’. He informed that during his stay he will participate in Tiranga Yatra at Leh. To encourage the women bikers’ team from Surat Gujrat the minister will welcome them at Khardung La, the highest motorable place in the world and will also unfurl the national flag. The team of 50 women bikers which has driven motorcycle all the way from Surat has already arrived Leh. Col Rathore said that no government in India has ever tried to connect all of India in terms of roads, communication and transportation besides connecting the soul of India but the BJP regime is bound to fulfill that desire of the people of the great country.”
The minister was received at the airport by Chief Executive Councilor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Dr Sonam Dawa Lonpo, Ladakh BJP president Tsewang Gonbo and many other top leaders and officials of the state the state government besides media heads of the I&B media units working in Leh.
During the two-day visit, I&B MoS Col. Rathore will pledge and promote Sankalp se Siddhi campaign, a pan-India programme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9th August from New Delhi.
Col. Rathore during the day reviewed the functioning of the media units in Leh at a meeting and also interacted with different delegations drawn from political parties and civil society to listen their issues and demands. (Courtesy-PIB Srinagar)
