Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has cracked two separate theft cases in Shopian by arresting two accused and also recovered stolen property.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that during investigation of case FIR No. 180/2025, Shopian Police zeroed in on two suspects identified as Gh. Mohammad Dar S/o Gh. Qadir Dar and Mohammad Yousuf Dar S/o Gh. Mohammad Dar, both residents of Jawalapora, Budgam and recovered 44 stolen sheep on their disclosure.
Stating that both the accused were subsequently arrested Police in its statement further said that in case FIR No. 183/2025 seven stolen sheep were recovered, adding therein that efforts are on to apprehend other gang members who remain at large, and further confessions are expected as the investigation is in progress.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police reiterated its firm resolve to protect life and property, appealing therein people to remain vigilant and promptly share any information regarding suspicious activities.
