Srinagar: In its ongoing drive against drug trafficking and in strict compliance with the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Police in Handwara attached a vehicle worth ₹12 lakh representing Norco- proceeds.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that the vehicle, Maruti Swift Dzire bearing registration no JK09D-5264, is owned by the accused Tahir Habib Dar S/o Habib Ullah Dar R/o Jaggerpora, Kupwara, Stating therein further that the accused is involved in FIR No. 38/2025 under sections 8/21-29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Handwara.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police reiterated its commitment to take stringent action against drug peddlers and dismantle the financial networks supporting the narcotics trade, Calling upon therein the people of the area to support law enforcement in the fight against drugs and report any such activities to the authorities.
