Drug peddler arrested in Handwara, contraband substance also recovered: Police

Anantnag : Police on Friday said that it has arrested drug peddler in Handwara and also recovered contraband substance from his possession
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said a police party of Police Station Handwara during patrolling at Herpora Handwara apprehended one Farooq Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Sultan Dar @Jungli R/o Lachipora Handwara and during his search recovered 8 grams of Brown Sugar like substance from his possession.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 11/25 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Handwara besides initiating investigation Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society, reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per law.
