Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police team of Police Post Mirbazar during patrolling at Furrah, arrested a drug peddler identified as Shahid Mushtaq Bhat S/o Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat R/o Furrah and during search recovered 1.30 Kg of Grinded Cannabis from his possession. Stating that a case under FIR No. 05/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Qazigund besides initiating further investigations, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to co-operate with it in eliminating the drug menace from the society.
