Div Com Biduri engaged with the pilgrims, extending his heartfelt wishes for a successful and blessed pilgrimage. “I prayed for the successful journey of our esteemed pilgrims embarking on this sacred Hajj,” he expressed, alongside his hopes for peace, prosperity, and well-being in Jammu and Kashmir.

Amidst tearful farewells witnessed at the Haj House in Bemina, relatives embraced one another, invoking “Allah-ho-Akbar” as pilgrims boarded buses bound for the airport. Expressing gratitude for the arrangements at Bemina Haj House and Srinagar airport, pilgrims vowed to pray for peace and prosperity during their journey. RTC buses lined up at the Hajj house, ferrying pilgrims to Srinagar International Airport, as families bid farewell in the early hours of Thursday. HCI member Aijaz Hussain extended congratulations to all pilgrims, emphasizing the meticulous arrangements made for their comfort and convenience. Hussain said that 642 pilgrims would be departing from J&K in two flights, including 37 women without mahram. He highlighted the comprehensive facilities in place for the estimated 7,000 pilgrims from J&K undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage this year.

“A total of 7,008 Hajj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir are set to embark on the sacred journey to Mecca and Medina this year. Special provisions have been made for 37 women pilgrims undertaking the journey without Mahram. The pilgrimage this year will commence with a visit to Medina, with pilgrims accommodated in Markaziya. Qureshi emphasized enhancements in Minha, optimizing the pilgrimage experience for all participants.”

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Akshay Labroo, and SSP Budgam, Nikhal Borkar, Div Com Biduri conducted a thorough inspection of facilities at the airport, ensuring seamless departure procedures for all pilgrims. According to official figures, a total of 7,008 Hajj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir are set to embark on the sacred journey to Mecca and Medina this year. Shujhat Qureshi, Executive Officer of J&K Hajj Committee, affirmed that all arrangements have been meticulously orchestrated to ensure a hassle-free pilgrimage experience. Qureshi disclosed that out of the total pilgrims, around 6,800 will depart from Srinagar airport, with the remaining departing from Delhi and Mumbai airports. Special provisions have been made for 37 women pilgrims undertaking the journey without Mahram. The pilgrimage this year will commence with a visit to Medina, with pilgrims accommodated in Markaziya.
