Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has seized four vehicles and arrested their drivers for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Ferozpora Tangmarg, Singhpora Pattan and Kungamdara.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg and SDPO Pattan assisted by SHO Police Station Tangmarg, Incharge Police Post Mirgund and Kungamdara seized four vehicles (1 tipper & 3 tractors), besides arresting four drivers identified as Fayaz Ahmad Malla S/o Bashir Ahmad R/o Pati Yangoora, Gulzar Ahmad Teli S/o Mohammad Akbar R/o Hanjiwera Payeen, Yasir Ali Dar S/o Mohsin Dar R/o Kripalpora Payeen & Naseer Ahmad Ganie S/o Noor Mohd Ganie R/o Babagund Pattan. Stating that the said drivers alongwith his vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction/transportation of minerals and subsequently a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tangmarg and Police Station Pattan, Police in it’s statement further said investigations have been initiated.
