Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, SaloniRai, in the presence of Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Romesh Kumar Smotraon Wednesday handed over relief Cheques amounting to Rs 7.25 lakh as interim assistance to the Next of Kin (NoK) of nine individuals who lost their lives or were injured in road accidents.
The financial support was provided under the Jammu and Kashmir Road Accident Victims Fund Act-2021
The primary aim of this fund is to offer immediate relief to the dependents, family members, and legal heirs of individuals who are either killed or injured in road accidents involving passenger and private vehicles etc.
