Jammu: Police on Friday said that it has seized four vehicles for being involved in illegal mining in different parts of Jammu city.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that in a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of Police Station Akhnoor, Police Station Bishnah, Police Post Chinore, and Police Post Phallain Mandal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at locations in their respective areas and during raids seized four vehicles involved in illegal mining.
Police in it’s statement further said that vehicles seized during the raids include one Tipper bearing registration no JK02BL 5743, by Police Station Akhnoor, One dumper bearing Registration no.JK02CF 3568, by Police Station Bishnah, One tipper bearing Registration No JK02CN 2407, by Police Post Chinore, One Tractor trolley bearing chasis no. WXCF 61618993154, by Police Post Phallain Mandal.
Stating that recoveries were made by SHO Police Station Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, SHO Police Station Bishnah Inspr Vikram Sharma, I/C Police Post Chinore PSI Rajesh Kumar and I/C Police Post Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal in their respective area jurisdiction , Police in it’s statement further said that DMO Jammu was also intimated about the illegal mining activities .
