Drug peddler booked under PSA in Bla : Police

Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has booked a drug peddler under Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining necessary sanctions from the authorities in Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the notorious drug peddler namely Rafeeq Ahmad Khan @Raja Rafi S/o Ghulam Hassan Khan R/o Gubdar Trikanjan Boniyar has been booked under J&K PSA after obtaining necessary sanctions from the competent authority, adding therein that the booked drug peddler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal, Jammu.
Stating that three cases were registered against the said drug peddler involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Boniyar and other areas of District Baramulla, Police in it’s statement further said that despite his involvement in many FIRs the said drug peddler did not mend his activities and was again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement Police said that its actions against criminals will continue in operation till the culprits will not be punished.
