Jammu: Director General J&K Police Dilbag Singh on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 75 lakh welfare loan to 63 serving officers and personnel of J&K Police. He has also sanctioned financial assistance of rupees three lakh in favour of NOK of martyrs.
According to a statement issued from Police Media Centre PHQ J&K Jammu here, the DGP vide PHQ Order No. 188 of 2023, welfare loan ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.50 lakh each has been sanctioned to 62 serving Police personnel for the purpose of their self-marriage, or for marriage of their wards/relatives.
A welfare loan of Rs 1.50 lac has been sanctioned to one Police personnel for whose ward is pursuing higher education. The welfare loan sanctioned to the serving Police personnel is refundable and is recovered in monthly installments from their salaries without any interest. This welfare loan has been sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare Fund. Besides the DGP has sanctioned financial assistance of rupees one lakh each in favour of NOK of martyr SgCtGh Mohammad, martyr Ct. Ab Majeed and martyr Ct. Nazir Ahmad for the purpose of marriage of their daughters.
Police in the concluding para of it’s above statement said that PHQ under different welfare schemes is providing financial assistance to all the ranks serving/retired of Jammu and Kashmir Police and to serving SPOs. ‘Financial support to the families & wards of Martyr Police personnel and wards of martyr SPOs is also taken care of by the Police Headquarters’, Police statement reads further.
