Burglary case solved in B’pora, accused arrested, Stolen property also recovered : Police

Srinagar : Police in Bandipora on Saturday said that it had solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession.

In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, Police said that Police Station Bandipora on recieving a complaint from one person namely Ghulam Qadir Dar R/o Lankreshipora Bandipora about barging of some thieves inside his residential house and running away with golden ornaments and some cash registered an FIR vide 169/2022 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Bandipora and investigation into the matter was initiated.

Stating that a special police team of police station Bandipora under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Bandipora Mohammad Shafat comprising of SHO PS Bandipora, PSI Saqib Ahmad & PSI Rakesh Kumar was constituted to ascertain the facts on ground and bring culprits to the bars, Police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, many suspects were called for questioning and  after strenuous efforts investigating team arrested one accused person identified as Amir Ahmad Rather son of Gh Nabi Rather resident of Aanchar Soura Srinagar.

Police in the above referred statement also said that during questioning, officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime and on his disclosure the stolen items included Golden Jewellery and cash of Rs 21350/= were recovered from his residential house in Aanchar Soura Srinagar, Stating therein further that further investigation of the case is going on.

In the concluding para of the above referred statement, police said that the local people have applauded the efforts made by the Police in solving the case. Police in it’s statement has reiterated that it’s consistent actions against the anti-social elements shall continue.
