Director RDD extensively tours Pulwama distt, reviews status of MGNREGA, PMAY-G & other schemes

Pulwama:Director, Rural Development (RDD) Kashmir, Tariq Ahamd Zargar Wednesday conducted extensive tour of District Pulwama to take on spot appraisal of the completed and ongoing RDD works and also reviewed the physical and financial progress of various RDD schemes in a meeting with the Officers.
ACD Pulwama, ACP Pulwama, Executive Engineer (REW) Pulwama, Dy. Director (Plg) RDD Kashmir, BDOs, AEE, AEs and POs of MGNREGA of District Pulwama were present.
Director, RDD Kashmir reviewed the status of different flagship programmes including Capex Budget (CD &Pyt Sector), Construction of DDC/ BDC Offices, RGSA, MGNREGA, PMAY-G and 14th FCA.
It was informed that Pulwama has almost achieved the set target for persondays generated under MGNREGA till November, 2021 and already achieved 98.5% target. Against target of 632001 lakh person days for ending November 2021, 623114 person days have already been generated till date. Moreover, MGNREGA Wages are being released in time and till date Rs 13.84 Crore have been paid besides geo-tagging of assets is 100% complete.
Furthermore, out of the 1073 works taken up under MGNREGA, 308 works have been completed. Similarly, construction of all three Panchayat Ghars taken up under RGSA has been completed. Moreover, under the Capex Budget CD &Pyt Sector, 54 works has been taken-up for execution and are at various stages of completion. Similarly, under 14th FC, out of the 4173 works taken up for execution, 2800 works have been completed in the District and Rs. 55.22 Crore expended so far. Director RDD stressed on completion of taken up works within the stipulated timeframe.
It was informed that during the current financial year, one DDC and two BDC Offices have been approved for construction with directions to expedite the execution on priority as per approved design and adhering to all the codal formalities. Executive Engineer, REW, Pulwama was asked to prepare the DPRs for Construction of Panchayat Ghars under RGSA as per the target allocated to the District.
Director, RDD also underscored the need to proactively resolve the issues of the public and advised ACD, ACP, Exen and BDOs to undertake regular field visits to address issues and concerns, if any, of the people at the grass root level.
“Gram Sabhas should be regularly organized and PRIs actively involved in the developmental activities besides general public should be made aware about the guidelines and benefits of the RDD Schemes under implementation” Director said.
Director RDD stressed on implementing the Afforestation Plan of Action in convergence with the Forest Department and MGNREGA. Moreover, under PMAY-G, the BDOs were directed to fix targets as per the norms/ guidelines of the scheme for the financial year 2021-22, based on existing PWL finalized on Awaas plus within a week besides completing the works taken up under 14th FCA by 31st December 2021. Executive Engineer, REW, Pulwama was urged to expedite preparation and submission of the DPRs of Panchayat Ghars under RGSA as per the allocation target for the District.
During the tour, Director, RDD visited the various sites in District Pulwama and met various public delegations assuring them that their genuine demands will be addressed. At Koil, the public requested fencing of the Playfield at Koil and Tiling of Backyard lawns of Government Hr. Secondary School, Kakapora. Director, RDD issued directions to ACD Pulwama for appropriate action to meet the public demands.
