RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 24: In a significant step towards strengthening self-employment opportunities for local youth, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress and implementation of Mission YUVA in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner undertook a detailed review of the progress achieved under various components of Mission YUVA and assessed the performance against the prescribed key indicators. He sought feedback from all concerned departments and field functionaries regarding the implementation status and issues requiring immediate attention.
The DC directed the stakeholders to implement the mission with a focused and coordinated approach to achieve the prescribed targets within the stipulated timeline. He emphasized close coordination among the Employment Department, NRLM, Banks, SBDUs and BHDs for effective hand holding and seamless credit linkage of eligible youth.
The Block Programme Managers of NRLM were directed to proactively identify and engage eligible SHGs at the Panchayat level and facilitate their onboarding on Mission YUVA.
The DC also emphasized exploring and facilitating loan support for all eligible youth seeking to establish their self-employment ventures under Mission YUVA.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that no eligible youth should be left out and called for concerted efforts by all stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of Mission YUVA across the district.
