Jammu: A woman died while her husband sustained injuries after the scooty they were travelling on was hit by an Alto car near Hiranagar Morh in Kathua district on Monday, officials said.
An official sad that the accident occurred near a petrol pump at Hiranagar Morh when an Alto car collided with the scooty.
He said that in the incident, the woman was killed while her husband sustained injuries. Both were shifted to a hospital, where the woman later succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased was identified as Reena Devi (42), wife of Ranjeet Kumar, while her injured husband was identified as Ranjeet Kumar (51), son of Gian Chand. Both were residents of Ghagwal in Samba district.
