Rajnath Calls For Action Against Terror Sponsors At SCO Summit

New Delhi | October 20: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday called for a unified, uncompromising global effort to dismantle the entire ecosystem supporting terrorism during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting in Dushanbe.
Defence Minister emphasized that there must be no double standards in combating terror, highlighting that those financing, supporting, or sheltering terrorists must be held fully accountable. Singh noted that terrorism severely impacts regional stability, hampers investment, and radicalizes youth, reaffirming India’s stance that terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances.
The address follows earlier warnings from the Defence Ministry that cross-border attacks would invite decisive responses, citing successful past operations. On the sidelines of the Eurasia security summit, Singh also held bilateral discussions with Tajikistan Prime Minister Qohir Rosulzoda and Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref to enhance regional ties.
