Kathua : Minister for FCS&CA, IT, Youth Services and Sports Satish Sharma hoisted the National Flag at Sports Stadium Kathua and took the salute at a parade comprising police, security forces, Forest, NCC and school contingents.
Sharma highlighted government initiatives in development, food security, transport, sports, e-governance, water supply and infrastructure. He said over ₹70 crore has been allocated under the District Capex Budget 2026-27 for 2,079 works in Kathua.
Calling upon youth to lead J&K’s future, he urged them to explore opportunities in sports, skills, technology and entrepreneurship. Cultural performances by students also marked the celebrations.
