LG Sinha commends officers for exemplary bravery, devotion to duty, meritorious service
Srinagar : Recognizing exceptional bravery and outstanding public service, 51 personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Police have been selected for prestigious honors on Independence Day 2026. The official list includes 38 Medal for Gallantry (GM) recipients alongside 13 Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) awardees, honoring both senior officers and frontline jawans. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and the Kashmir Police Zone extended warm congratulations to all decorated officers, praising their unyielding dedication to duty and sacrifice in preserving public safety.
“Heartiest congratulations to all the officers and personnel of J&K Police who have been awarded the prestigious Medal for Gallantry, President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day 2026,” stated LG Manoj Sinha. “The nation is proud of their exemplary commitment and sacrifice,” the LG added.
