Srinagar :Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has approved a ₹5.15 crore project for the comprehensive development of the historic Gurudwara Charan Kamal Sahib at Bakhta in Kathua district.
The project includes construction of a new Langar Hall and Prayer Hall, besides provision of modern civic amenities for devotees visiting the revered shrine.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening pilgrimage infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir while preserving the region’s sacred cultural and spiritual heritage.
The development of the historic Gurudwara is expected to provide improved facilities for devotees and contribute to the conservation and promotion of Jammu and Kashmir’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.
