I want to publish my view through columns of your leading newspaper in “Kashmir Horizon” on tactical brilliance of D K Shivakumar that led to his crowning as Chief Minister Karnatka and the challenges he faces now in governing Karnatka state . Below mentioned are my views on the subject:-
Structural Friction Overrules Political Optics
D.K. Shivakumar’s tactical brilliance won him the Chief Minister’s chair but running Karnataka on backroom deals & astrology is a dangerous strategy. The Rock of Kanakapura cannot govern a complex state purely as a corporate friendly regional boss. His immediate nightmare is structural not political because bankrolling the populist Five Guarantees has already bled the exchequer dry starving critical infrastructure. If he favors Bengaluru’s tech elite while rural irrigation rots the backlash will be swift. Furthermore sitting on the explosive caste census report while trying to placate both his own community & Siddaramaiah’s AHINDA base is a recipe for administrative paralysis. Pragmatism must replace political optics or the state’s anti incumbency trap will instantly crush his leadership.
