Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) Veteran singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday.
She had been admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Asha Bhosle’s son, Anand Bhosle, said, “My mother Asha Bhosle has passed away. Her body will be kept for final respects tomorrow from 11 AM to 2 PM at her residence, and the last rites will be performed tomorrow at 4 PM at Shivaji Park.”
‘Asha Bhosle breathed her last today in Breach Candy Hospital. She passed away due to multi-organ failure,’ said Dr Pratit Samdani at the Breach Candy Hospital.
Maharashtra Cultural Minister Ashish Shelar said, “Today is a sad day for the entire country and the state, marking the end of an era with the passing of Asha Bhosle. All medical procedures will be completed today. Final respects will be paid from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM tomorrow. The last rites will be performed at 4:00 PM at Shivaji Park Crematorium tomorrow. The funeral will be conducted with full state honours”
