Jammu : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, along with Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and Ministers Sakina Itoo and Javed Rana, extended warm greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of Shab-e-Meraj.
In his message, Chief Minister Abdullah emphasized the spiritual significance of this sacred night, highlighting it as a reaffirmation of the Prophet Muhammad’s devotion to Allah. He called for prayers for peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir, urging the community to embody the Prophet’s teachings of compassion, tolerance, and unity.
Deputy Chief Minister Choudhary noted the profound religious importance of Shab-e-Meraj, describing it as a time for faith and humility. He expressed hope that the occasion would enhance peace and mutual respect within households across Jammu and Kashmir, reinforcing the region’s tradition of communal harmony and brotherhood.
Minister Sakina Itoo characterized the night of Me’raj as a sacred opportunity for seeking divine blessings and forgiveness. She underscored its significance in promoting values such as compassion and righteousness, encouraging believers to strengthen their connection with Allah through prayer and good deeds. She expressed optimism that this holy night would bring renewed hope and spiritual enlightenment to all.
Minister Javed Rana echoed similar sentiments, describing Shab-e-Meraj as a time for self-reflection and prayer. He emphasized the importance of compassion, humility, and righteousness, praying for divine mercy and blessings for every household. Rana highlighted the occasion as a reminder to uphold mutual respect and brotherhood, fostering unity and collective well-being within the community.
