MHA clears promotions of IAS officers in J&K segment of AGMUT cadre

7 promoted to Super Time Scale, 13 Selection Grade, 3 Junior Administrative Grade

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved promotion of seven IAS officers of AGMUT cadre, posted in J&K segment, to Super Time Scale.
According to an order Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has been promoted to Super Time Scale notionally w.e.f.01.01.2025 and actual from the date of assumption of charge.
As per the order, Prasanna Ramaswamy, Ram Niwas Sharma, Talat Parvez Rohella, Rukshana Gani, Rehana Batul and Mir Tariq Ali have been promoted to Super Time Scale w.e.f. 01.01. 2026 or the date of assumption of charge, whichever is later.
The MHA has also ordered promotion of 13 IAS officers of J&K segment of AGMUT cadre to Selection Grade.
According to the order, Avny Lavasa, Anshul Garg, Vikas Kundal, Nidhi Malik, Nazim Khan, Shakeel-ul Rehman Rather, Pradeep Kumar, Rahul Sharma, Narinder Bali, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat and Majid Khalil Ahmad Drabu have been promoted to Selection Grade w.e.f. 01.01. 2026.
Dr Shah Faesal and Sheikh Arshad Ayub- who are currently on central deputation- have also been granted promotion to Selection Grade on proforma basis.
Three IAS officers posted in Jammu and Kashmir have also been promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade.
The officers include Ayushi Sudan (Deputy Commissioner Samba), Bilal Mohiuddin (Deputy Commissioner Budgam and Minga Sherpa (Deputy Commissioner Baramulla)
