Addressing a gathering after releasing the 21st instalment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Prime Minister highlighted the significant transformation in the agriculture sector over the past 11 years, noting that agricultural exports have nearly doubled. Modi expressed his personal connection to natural farming and praised the innovative spirit of Tamil Nadu’s farmers, some of whom have transitioned from prestigious careers to agriculture. The Prime Minister announced the transfer of over Rs 18,000 crore to nine crore beneficiaries under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, reinforcing the government’s commitment to modernizing agriculture and supporting farmers. He acknowledged the changing perception of agriculture among the youth, who now view it as a modern and scalable opportunity, which is expected to significantly boost the rural economy.
