Jammu: The Union Government has appointed the 2012 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Amit Sharma as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
As per an order, the appointment, made by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) following his recommendation for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will be effective from the date he assumes charge.
His tenure will continue till December 31, 2025, and may be extended as per the Central Staffing Scheme. The officer has been instructed to take up his new assignment immediately.
