PM inaugurates projects worth Rs 13,430 cr in Kurnool

Kurnool(AP): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation developmental projects worth Rs 13,430 crore in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool. The developmental projects span across key sectors including industry, power transmission, roads, railways, defence manufacturing, and petroleum and natural gas.
Prime Minister Modi expressed optimism about India’s development trajectory, emphasizing that the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative will yield significant results by the centenary of India’s independence. During a public rally in Kurnool, he highlighted the rapid progress achieved under the “double-engine government” and acknowledged the contributions of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in providing the necessary vision and leadership for Andhra Pradesh. The Prime Minister’s visit included a pooja at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam and a stop at the Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra. He underscored the central government’s commitment to enhancing regional infrastructure and promoting socio-economic growth through new projects. Notably, he laid the foundation stone for a Transmission System Strengthening project at Kurnool-III Pooling Station, with an investment exceeding Rs 2,880 crore, aimed at boosting renewable energy transmission capacity. Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated the Orvakal and Kopparthy Industrial Areas in Kadapa, with a combined investment of over Rs 4,920 crore, which are expected to attract Rs 21,000 crore in investments and create approximately 100,000 jobs. To improve road infrastructure, he announced the foundation for a six-lane Greenfield Highway from Sabbavaram to Sheelanagar, costing Rs 960 crore, designed to alleviate congestion in Visakhapatnam. In the railway sector, he dedicated several projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore, including the Kottavalasa-Vizianagaram Fourth Railway Line and the Rail Flyover between Pendurti and Simhachalam North, aimed at enhancing connectivity and ensuring safer travel. Overall, these initiatives reflect a strategic focus on industrialization and infrastructure development in Andhra Pradesh, aligning with the broader vision for India’s growth in the 21st century.
