I refer to TH , Jane Goodall’s passing marks the end of an era, but her legacy urges us to begin a new one rooted in empathy, respect, and urgent action. She wasn’t just a scientist; she was a storyteller of the natural world, giving voice to the voiceless and reminding humanity of its deep connection with all life. Her work in Gombe challenged scientific dogma and redefined how we understand intelligence, emotion, and community not just in animals, but in ourselves. Most importantly, Goodall saw hope in youth and empowered them to lead the charge for environmental justice. At a time when ecological breakdown threatens our future, her message is clear: compassion must guide our survival. India, rich in both biodiversity and ancient wisdom, must heed this call. Let her life not be a eulogy, but a call to protect what remains for the earth, and for the generations who will inherit it.
