New Delhi: Ahead of Navratri, Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for what he termed a “major reform” aimed at benefiting millions of Indian families.
“It is a matter of great joy for all of us that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji has decided to reduce GST rates on practically everything used in the daily lives of middle-class and low-income families,” Vaishnaw said.
He noted that the reduced GST rates will apply to a wide range of products — from food items and household essentials to student supplies, consumer electronics, small cars, and scooters.
“Everything is now going to see a lower GST rate from the first day of Navratri. I would like to thank Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji for this big step — a major reform which is going to help each and every family in our country,” Ashwini Vaishnaw added.
