Warnings Of PM Modi, HM Amit Shah Define India’s New Anti-Terror Doctrine

Srinagar: This week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful and uncompromising message to Pakistan and all adversaries of India, asserting that following the launch of Operation Sindoor, the nation has entered a new era in its fight against terrorism. Speaking at a massive public rally in Bikaner, Rajasthan — a border city that has witnessed its share of hostilities — Modi declared that Pakistan must now pay a heavy price for every terrorist attack launched against India. His words were sharp, symbolic, and charged with emotion: “There is no blood flowing in Modi’s veins, but hot Sindoor.” Modi’s reference to sindoor, the traditional vermilion powder symbolizing the spirit and resilience of Indian women, was a metaphor for the fiery determination of the nation. It also poignantly connected to the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, where civilians, including women wearing sindoor, were targeted in a brutal sectarian assault that claimed 26 innocent lives.“Those bullets were fired in Pahalgam but pierced the hearts of 140 crore Indians,” Modi said, highlighting the deep national grief and collective resolve to respond.
A New Era In Counter-Terrorism: Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in direct retaliation to the Pahalgam attack, marking a decisive shift in India’s counterterrorism strategy. Modi explained that this was not merely a military operation but “the new form of justice,” a powerful “Raudra Roop” — or fierce incarnation — of India’s strength and resolve. “First, we entered their house and attacked; now we strike on their chests,” Modi said, illustrating a shift from reactive defense to assertive offence aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure on Pakistan soil. He stated firmly that the time for talks or trade with Pakistan is over unless those talks are focused solely on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the territory India claims as its own under international law. “If there will be talk, it will only be about PoK,” Modi emphasized, making clear that India will no longer tolerate the continued export of terror from across the border.
The Price To Be Paid: Modi outlined a three-pronged principle guiding India’s response to terrorism going forward, any terrorist attack on India will be met with a decisive and forceful military response, with timing, location, and strategy determined solely by India’s forces, India will no longer be intimidated by nuclear threats or the specter of escalation, maintaining a cool mind but a strong hand and India will no longer differentiate between terrorist groups and the states supporting them, explicitly naming Pakistan as responsible for harboring and enabling terrorism. “This game of Pakistan using non-state and state actors will no longer work. We now treat them as one and the same,” Modi declared. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to exposing Pakistan’s complicity in terrorism on the global stage, revealing that seven separate delegations, including political leaders and foreign policy experts, have been dispatched worldwide to share evidence and rally international support.
The Impact Of Operation Sindoor: Modi detailed the swift and precise success of Operation Sindoor, explaining how India’s military, air force, and paramilitary forces coordinated to destroy nine major terrorist hideouts within 22 minutes — a scale and speed that forced Pakistan to kneel, he said. The operation was not just a tactical strike but a message that India’s patience should never be mistaken for weakness. “Those who shed the blood of India have been accounted for every drop,” Modi said. “Those who had thought India would remain silent are hiding in their homes today. Those who were proud of their weapons are now buried under rubble.” The Prime Minister also referenced India’s suspension of the Indus Water Treaty — a critical water-sharing agreement with Pakistan — as part of the broader consequences Pakistan will face for sponsoring terror. “Pakistan will not receive a single drop of water from India’s share if it continues to export terrorism,” he warned, underscoring the economic and strategic dimensions of India’s new approach.
Modi’s Continued Commitment, The Spirit Of Veerbhoomi: Recalling his visit to Rajasthan five years ago after the Balakot airstrikes, Modi said the spirit of sacrifice and valor that pervades the border region — known as Veerbhoomi — has been a source of strength for India’s security forces. “It is a coincidence that after Balakot, my first public meeting was held here, and again after Operation Sindoor, my first public meeting is in Bikaner,” he said. “This time too, those who tried to wipe off the sindoor have been reduced to dust,” Modi declared, reaffirming his vow that India will not tolerate terrorism or threats to its sovereignty.
HM Amit Shah Praises Operation Sindoor: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at the Border Security Force (BSF) Investiture Ceremony and Rustamji Memorial Lecture in New Delhi, echoed Modi’s strong sentiments and framed Operation Sindoor as a historic and precise success. Shah described it as “the most precise and successful response in the history of countering terrorist attacks on our soil,” underscoring the synergy between Modi’s political will, intelligence agencies’ inputs, and the tactical excellence of India’s forces. Shah recounted the series of provocations that led to the operation, culminating in the barbaric attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam. “Prime Minister Modi had declared that this terrorist attack would receive a fitting response, and Operation Sindoor was that appropriate response,” Shah stated. He highlighted the evolution of India’s counterterror approach — initially targeting terrorist hideouts but refraining from Pakistani civilian or military infrastructure. This restraint shifted only after Pakistan escalated the conflict by targeting Indian civilians and military institutions, forcing India to respond robustly. “The bonding between Pakistan and terrorism has been exposed to the world,” Shah said, pointing to photographic evidence of Pakistani military officials attending terrorist funerals as irrefutable proof of complicity. “What Pakistan had always denied has now been fully exposed.”
Honoring The BSF, Martyrs: Shah paid tribute to the Border Security Force, India’s first line of defense, for its resilience and adaptability across diverse terrains — deserts, jungles, and mountains. He called the BSF a shining example of patriotism and dedication, trusted with guarding India’s challenging borders with both Pakistan and Bangladesh. He solemnly remembered the brave martyrs of Operation Sindoor, Mohammad Imtiyaz Ahmad and Deepak Chingakham, whose sacrifices, Shah said, “will forever be etched in golden letters in the history of the nation’s defense.” Both Modi and Shah’s speeches underscored the unity of India’s political leadership, armed forces, and people in facing the challenge of terrorism. Modi’s words, in particular, invoked a nationalistic fervor rooted in cultural symbolism, emotional depth, and strategic clarity. He stressed that India will neither be cowed by terror nor tolerate the export of violence from its neighbors. “Those who shed the blood of India have been accounted for,” Modi repeated, calling on the country to stand united and resolute. The Prime Minister’s message was clear: India is entering a new phase in its security and diplomatic posture — one defined by decisive action, clear principles, and unyielding commitment to protect its sovereignty, citizens, and values.
