LoP To Chair BJP Legislators Meeting Tomorrow
Srinagar | September, 14: Ahead of the 10-day autumn session of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly commencing September 21, Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday at 2:00 PM to ensure smooth proceedings. Officials said invitations have been sent to key party leaders and Business Advisory Committee members, including Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Sharma, Ali Muhammad Sagar, Mubarak Gul, CPI(M) leader M.Y. Tarigami, Congress leader G.A. Mir, Sajad Lone, Mir Mohammad Fayaz, and Independent MLA Choudhary Muhammad Akram.
The session is expected to be stormy, with opposition parties preparing to corner the government on governance issues. Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Sharma will chair a preparatory meeting of BJP MLAs in Jammu tomorrow. According to the assembly calendar, four days are set aside for government business and three for private member bills. Reports said the government plans to introduce four official bills during the session.
