Mental health is a basic human right for all people. Everyone, whoever and wherever they are, has a right to the highest attainable standard of mental health. This includes the right to be protected from mental health risks, the right to available, accessible, acceptable, and good quality care, and the right to liberty, independence and inclusion in the communityGood mental health is vital to our overall health and well-being. Yet one in eight people globally are living with mental health conditions, which can impact their physical health, their well-being, how they connect with others, and their livelihoods. Mental health conditions are also affecting an increasing number of adolescents and young people. Having a mental health condition should never be a reason to deprive a person of their human rights or to exclude them from decisions about their own health. Yet all over the world, people with mental health conditions continue to experience a wide range of human rights violations. Many are excluded from community life and discriminated against, while many more cannot access the mental health care they need or can only access care that violates their human rights.Mental health is related to the personality as a whole of that person. Thus, the most important function of school and education is to safeguard the mental health of boys and girls. Physical fitness is not the only measure of good health alone. Rather it’s just a means of promoting mental as well as moral health of the child.

The two main factors that affect the most are feeling of inferiority and insecurity. Thus, it affects the child the most. So, they lose self-initiative and confidence. This should be avoided and children should be constantly encouraged to believe in themselves. A great section of people suffers silently due to this drawback of society, which is why talking about mental health has become a necessity and must be treated as such. Mental health is a pressing issue in our global society which is why it has become so essential for us to openly address it and empathise with people suffering from mental health issues. Celebrating world mental health day provides us with the platform to address those concerns openly and normalise all the mental issues people are facing all the while being an empathetic participant in fighting the stigma. Even if tend to deflect the topic of mental health we all are aware that it is our mental state that governs our actions and having bad mental health causes a ripple effect in all our actions through chaos, confusion etc. it significantly influences our emotional, psychological, social, physical state. Improving one’s mental health is a never-ending process rather than a done-and-dusted project. The journey of creating positive mental health and maintaining iis tedious and relentless, it requires us to take numerous hard decisions and put in conscious efforts to not delve deeper into our old habits. I believe we all can be empathetic citizens of the global world in order to normalise the struggle of people mentally.
