New Delhi: The Delhi Police has suspended a sub-inspector who was allegedly seen in the video assaulting men offering prayers in North Delhi’s Inderlok area on Friday.
Talking to reporters, Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) M K Meena said, “In the incident which happened today, the police post-in-charge who was seen in the video has been suspended with immediate effect. Necessary disciplinary action is also being taken.”
The video which went viral on social media platforms showed a police official kicking and hitting the men offering namaz on the road. He was seen shouting at them to get up and leave the area.
