Parliament security breach: Delhi court sends accused Kumawat to 7-day police custody

New Delhi: A Delhi court after hearing the plea on behalf of Delhi Police passed an order to seven days police custody of Mahesh Kumawat arrested on the allegations of destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy defined under Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur after hearing the submissions on behalf of Delhi Police passed an order to seven days police custody of Kumawat.
Government Counsel for Delhi Police alleged against Kumawat before the court that he was involved in destruction of mobile phones of the others arrested accused person so depth investigation is required to unearth the larger conspiracy behind the acts and for this purpose 15 days police custody is required.
Family members of one of the accused Neelam arrested in this case moved an application for passing an order to meet her in police custody and also sought the copy of FIR.
Additional Session Judge after hearing the submission on behalf of family members of Neelam sought reply from Delhi Police on December 18.
The Police has arrested alleged mastermind Lalit Jha in this matter and got the seven days police custody on Friday.
The Police has arrested four person Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Neelam Verma, Amol Shinde under the anti-terror Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and got the seven days police custody on Thursday.
In this matter Delhi Police has registered an First Information Report (FIR) under sections 153 (wantonly giving provocation with an intent to cause riot), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 452 (trespass), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servants from discharge of his duty) define under Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 16 and 18 of UAPA against the accused person.
