New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a person for allegedly hurling bomb on Bhadu SK whose murder had led to carnage at Bogtui village in Rampurhat Police Station area of West Bengal in which several victims were allegedly burnt alive, the probe agency said on Wednesday.
The accused was arrested from Village Toloya in Birbhum district. It is alleged that the accused was seen and identified while allegedly hurling the bomb on Bhadu SK in the CCTV footage. He had been evading arrest and absconding since inception of the case, it stated.
The Calcutta High Court had held that the case of Bogtui carnage was direct fallout of the murder of Bhadu SK and the court had directed that the murder case of Bhadu SK also be investigated by the CBI.
The accused was produced before the Court of Ld. ACJM, Rampurhat and remanded Police custody for six days, it added.
