Hamirpur (HP): The yatra of the district unit of the Congress party is just a political stunt to divert people’s attention from real issues, said Abhayveer Lovely, the general secretary of the district BJP here Sunday.
In a statement, Lovely said even the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Ashray Sharma left this Yuva Rozgar Sangharsh Yatra in between on the plea that all were not taken into confidence while taking out the yatra.
He alleged that there was no coordination between the people of Congress and the party had handed over the command of this yatra to such people whose families snatched the employment of many people while in power.
Vikramaditya Singh and Raghuveer Singh Bali have become the leaders of this yatra, but how the families of these two leaders misused the government machinery to benefit their loved ones, every child of Himachal knows.
He said both GS Bali and Virbhadra Singh are not alive today and we have full respect for them, but the way they wasted jobs in their fields while in government is not hidden from anyone. When the late leader Shri GS Bali was a minister in the government, only one region’s youth were recruited in the recruitments in his departments.
Lovely said in Congress governments, jobs were sold, and jobs were given on chits. Those who cheated the youth at that time were now taking out employment struggle journey for them. This is just a hoax. He said duping youth in the name of employment travel and giving jobs is an old political phenomenon of Virbhadra Singh family and Bali family. Whenever elections come, these Congress people start taking out such yatras.
He said today the Virbhadra Singh development model would not work in the state and the BJP would return to power for the second consecutive time later this year.
