Srinagar: A scooty rider and his pillion died in a road accident that took place near Margund area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday afternoon.
An official said that a scooty bearing registration number JK16B-3354 collided head-on with a sumo bearing registration number JK16-2791 near Margund, resulting in on spot death of Scooty rider and his pillion.
He said that police have taken cognizance of the matter and have started inquest proceedings in this regard.
The official identified the scooty rider as Sameer Ahmad Khan, son of Muhammad Yousuf Khan of Tangchatter and Muzaffar Ahmad Najar, son of Nazir Ahmad of Margund.
An official said that a case has been registered in this regard.
