New Delhi, Mumbai : An Air India Express flight carrying 182 Indians from conflict ridden Ukraine landed in Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane welcomed them on board upon safely reaching India. The Air India Express flight IX 1202 took off from Henri Coanda International Airport, Bucharest, Romania yesterday under Operation Ganga. Indian evacuees including students from war-torn Ukraine were received by family members at airport. Entire government machinery is working round-the-clock to ensure that all Indian nationals there are safe and secure, PMO said. The government ordered the evacuation of its citizens from neighbouring countries of Ukraine as Russia launched a severe military offensive there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired two high level meetings, on Monday to review the ongoing efforts under Operation Ganga to bring back Indians stranded in Ukraine.
The PM has deputed four senior ministers as his special envoys to various nations to expedite the evacuation efforts.
